Why a Caltheo heat pump?
The company Caltheo doesn't wish to compare its heat pumps with „ordinary detergents”. We'll not claim that our heat pumps are faster or that the heat pumps have better absorption...
However, we are convinced that Caltheo products have a good quality and price ratio.
Technical parameters show that our heat pumps are silent, reliable, and have a very good COP.
How are we reaching that?
for example with the refrigerant...
Caltheo heat pumps use a refrigerant R410A. Disadvantage of the refrigerant is a higher cost of particular components (the pressure of the refrigerant is higher than usual), however all the physical parameters are so much higher that the higher cost is richly compensated with a better COP. In addition to that, the refrigerant is two-component (e.g. against three-component refrigerant R407C, which is used in cheaper units), and therefoer the reliability is higher.

for example the compressors - the most important part of a heat pump - are from the following companies: Daikin, Toshiba or Sanyo; expansion valves are made by Emerson and the plate heat exchangers are made by SWEP
And by the design solution as a whole...
the vaporizer for example is designed so that the bottom part is cooled by a refrigerant which comes from the condensator and at the same time it's used for heating of the tub, so it can't freeze. In compare to cheaper units it decreases COP but it is not necessary to install electrical „self-heating” cabels, that use more electrical energy. Other manufacturers don't account this into COP...
